The importance of Resource Management in Delivering Technology

with one comment

Every once in a while, even the most impartial of bloggers err and run an advertorial. So far I had attempted to avoid it, but there is no reason for this rule to have an exception. As a practicing CIO during the day and a product developer at night, I was questioning the value of our offering. (Note: Our product is an integrated toolkit to manage technology resources, a complete SaaS solution with pre-built service management, project management, asset and resource management with workflows, reports, dashboards and analytics to manage all aspects of IT).

I need not look any further. The value of our tool is very clear. CNN reported that the position of a Software Architect and Software Developer are amongst the ten most desirable jobs. This information in itself did not surprise me, but what did surprise me is that together there are over 7 million such people.  On top of it if you add the millions of support positions, it is very clear that managing these resources is crucial to ensuring proper Governance (by Governance we imply the appropriate use of resources and budgets that are aligned to Enterprise needs).  Our tool just does that, and I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to bring this product to market.
